Krodharajas of Phurpa (普巴護輪)

 

 

This is a text taken from the Vajrakilaya sadhanas. The ten krodharajas (忿怒明王) as in the Western Magic practices; are also called the “protective circle” of Mahayoga and Anuttara tantras. The location and names of the rajas varies according different tantric texts.

 

頂禮金剛孺童！

Namo Guru Vajra Kumara!

 

Wrathful krodha rajas stop angers; the burning of symbolic blue weapons.

A tinge of light in the vast space; arises from my life force energy.

 

When destruction is done on behalf of compassion; it is not deemed killing.

Establish the self arising five elemental mandalas; transform myself into yidam.

 

OM VAJRA KILI KILAYA SARVA VIGHNAN BAM HUM PHAT.

 

As I am holding the heart of Vajra Kumara; I must transform sufferings into vajra.

The cycles of rebirth must be transformed into mandala; I must achieve vajra wrath.

 

The unsurpassed wisdom of buddhas; give birth to self-arising vajra wisdom.

This is the only essence of dharmamata; as if the symbolic of ultimate burning wrath.

I must generate the form of my yidam!

 

I practice for the benefits of sentient beings; and salvage the living with compassions.

So as to accomplish the karma of Buddha; please bestow empowerment and blessings!

5.      Arya-Acala (不動明王)

a.       OM VAJRAKRODHA-ARYA-ACALA HUM BANDHA BANDHA HUM PHAT

6.      Hayagriva (馬頭明王)

a.       OM VAJRAKRODHA HAYAGRIVA HUM HULU HULU HUM PHAT

7.      Aparajita (欲帝明王)

a.       OM VAJRAKRODHA-APARAJITA HUM TISTHA TISTHA HUM PHAT

8.      Amritakuntali (軍荼利明王)

a.       OM VAJRAKRODHA-AMRITAKUNDALI HUM CHINDHA CHINDHA HUM PHAT

9.      Trailokyavijaya (降三世明王)

a.       OM VAJRAKRODHA TRAILOKYAVIJAYA HUM BINDHA BINDHA HUM PHAT

10.  Mahabala (大力明王)

a.       OM VAJRAKRODHAMAHABALA HUM SHOPTA SHOPTA HUM PHAT

 

For the success in auspicious phurpa ritual; I hereby request your empowerment.

All wisdom wrathful kings please descend; show me the success of destruction ritual.

Bestow me with the success of secret Phurpa tantra!
